Why should I choose my Trader through you?
All Traders on our Register voluntarily allow us to survey their customers on an ongoing basis. Our questionnaires are very detailed covering 26 separate areas of their business. We provide you with a detailed Rating Certificate showing how their previous customers graded them. Traders must maintain a high satisfaction rating to remain on our Register. This gives you peace of mind and the benefit of hindsight in advance when choosing whom to use.
Do I have to pay for your service?
No, our referral service is free.
How do you find the best Trader for me?
In order to save you and our Traders unnecessary and fruitless calls, we only put you in touch with the Traders who most closely match your requirements. They are: -
- Experienced in working in your postcode area,
- Available in the timescale needed for your work,
- Requesting to do the type of work you are proposing.
Do you send me a list of Traders?
No, we take a great deal of care to match your requirements to the most suitable Traders.
Most clients seek 3 alternative quotations and we normally recommend this number.
When should I make contact with the Trader?
As soon as possible. Our Traders are experienced and can often offer helpful suggestions that you can incorporate into your final plans.
How do you check they're doing a good job for me?
We visit unannounced a random selection of jobs our Traders do.
In addition we encourage you to provide us feedback whilst the job is progressing.
In any event we will send you a survey form so that future customers can benefit from your experience with the Trader.
Should the company I use have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes definitely - all the Traders on our Register have provided us a copy of their current cover, the details of which are shown on their Grading Certificate.
Will I go on a mailing list?
Absolutely not, we will never sell or pass your details to a third party. We will only ever contact you in relation to your enquiry.
My Architect is recommending a Trader, should I use them?
You should treat recommendations from your Architect no differently from those from any source.
What if a Trader does a bad job?
This is a rare occurrence. In the unlikely event of a problem arising, all Traders are bound by our Code of Conduct which provides a set procedure for resolving disputes.
Do you guarantee the Traders work?
Approved Businesses have demonstrated their commitment to providing you with a quality service by agreeing to independent scrutiny and by being bound by the Code of Conduct. Achieving and maintaining Accreditus Registration is not in itself a guarantee of the Trader's performance and therefore we cannot be held liable for the quality of workmanship or service of the Traders.
